Intrex Internet Services

What can I do with DSL?

A DSL connection is a dedicated link. Unlike ISDN and analog modem connections, a DSL connection is up 24 hours a day. This could give you some additional options like running your own servers based upon your connection type. In most cases you will need dedicated IP addresses to run your own servers.

How many IP addresses do I get?

Premium ADSL customers (Bell South Territory) receive one static IP address. Durham ADSL customers (Verizon Territory) can upgrade their service to include a static IP address. Customers with a static IP address can purchase addtional blocks of static IPs based upon need. All other accounts receive one dynamically assigned IP address.

Can I get more?

Yes, if your service supports static IP addresses, you can purchase additional blocks of IP addresses. If you upgrade to a larger block, and you wish to keep your blocks together, you may have to renumber.

Can I run my own servers?

Yes, if your service supports static IP addresses, you can run your own DNS, email, or web servers.
