1. Quit any running applications.

2. Insert Intrex.Net Install disk 1.

3. Double-click the icon Installer

4. On the Welcome screen, click on Install (if you receive a message about PPP already being installed select replace all).

5. Follow the on-screen instructions (you should be prompted for the 2nd disk about ½-way through).

6. When the installation is complete, you will be prompted to restart your computer.

7. After the computer restarts, you will see the Internet Connection window.

8. Select the Internet Wizard 2.0 icon.

9. Under Setup Options, select Manual.

10. Choose Connect using my phone line if you will be using a modem.

11. Select the modem installed in your system and the port. Enter your area code and 1st 3 digits of your phone number.

12. Enter the appropriate dialing properties.

13. Enter Intrex.Net for the Name of Service Provider.

14. Enter the area code and phone number for Intrex.Net. Please choose the dial-up access number that is a local call from your location. Intrex.Net is not responsible for any long distance charges.

15. Enter your Username and Password. Remember, these are case sensitive.
    Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter username@intrex.net rather than just your username.

16. For IP Address, select My Internet Service Provider assigns me one.

17. The DNS Server Address is 209.42.192.253. The Alternate DNS Server is 209.42.192.252. The Search Domain is intrex.net.

18. For User Profile enter your Username, an organization if applicable, and your email address (username@intrex.net).

19. For Internet Mail, the POP Server is pop.intrex.net. The POP Logon Name is your Username. The POP Logon Password is your dialup password.

20. The SMTP Server is smtp.intrex.net.
    Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter gmail.intrex.net for the outgoing mail server.

21. For Internet News, the News Server is news.intrex.net. Leave Logon Name and Logon Password blank.
    Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter gnews.intrex.net instead.

22. For the PPP Connection Script, leave it blank.

23. To finish the setup, you must restart your computer.

Connecting for the first time

Open your hard drive icon, Microsoft Internet Applications, Internet Explorer 2.1 folder, and the Internet Explorer 2.1 icon. This will launch your Web browser and should automatically connect you to Intrex.Net. If you have an external modem, make sure it is turned on before you open the program.
