Graphical Instructions

1. Go to the Hard Disk, then go into the Assistants folder. Open up the Internet Setup Assistant folder.

2. In Internet Setup Assistant, click on Update. Click the right arrow in the lower right hand corner of the window to continue.

3. Under "Internet Configuration", select Add Internet Configuration. Click the right arrow to continue.

4. Under "Configuration name and connection type", enter Intrex.net. Click the right arrow to continue.
   If you are given an error message in the next window and can’t continue, you will need to exit the Internet Setup Assistant and go to the Mac OS 8 installer CD (or disks) and install Open Transport PPP. Once that has been completed, open the Internet Setup Assistant and begin again.

5. Under "Modem Settings", select your modem from the list, select the modem port, and select tone dialing. Click the right arrow to continue.

6. Under "Configuration information", enter the phone number you will be dialing. Please choose the dial-up access number that is a local call from your location. Intrex.Net is not responsible for any long distance charges.

7. In the next text block, enter your username. Make sure you enter it in lowercase characters. Enter your password in the last text block. Remember that your password is case-sensitive. Enter it in lowercase characters unless your password contains upper- and lowercase characters. Click the right arrow to continue.
   Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter username@intrex.net rather than just your username.

8. Under "IP Address", select No in regards to the IP question since you will not need to configure an IP Address. Click the right arrow to continue.

9. Under "Domain Name Servers", enter our DNS addresses: 209.42.192.253 and 209.42.192.252. Click the right arrow to continue.

10. Under "E-mail address and password", enter your email address (eg. username@intrex.net) and your password. Make sure that you enter them in lowercase characters (unless your password contains both upper- and lowercase characters), and that there are no spaces between any of the characters. Click the right arrow to continue.

11. Under "E-mail account and host computer", enter your email address and our server info: smtp.intrex.net. Click the right arrow to continue.
    Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter gmail.intrex.net for the server.

12. Under "Newsgroup Host Computer", enter news.intrex.net. Click the right arrow to continue.
    Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter gnews.intrex.net instead.

13. Under "Conclusion", uncheck Connect when finished and click Go-ahead. Open up your Internet Browser, and this will then prompt you to connect to the internet.
