What is the difference between a Dialup account and a Dedicated account? A Dialup account permits 240 hours of service per month. That is an average of 8 hours per day if it is a 30 day month. With the Dialup account you have a dynamic IP address automatically assigned to you each time you dial in. A Dedicated account is a connection to us that is "always up". There are no limitations to a Dedicated account as they are intended for 24x7 connectivity. Dedicated accounts come with a block of static IP addresses if you need them. A Dedicated account is typically used by businesses and users that want to run servers or host their own web pages. |
