Virus Alert For All Intrex Internet Services Customers

Some customers have notified Intrex that they received the following e-mail message from administration@intrex.net with a zipped file attached to it:

Subject: Warning about your e-mail account. (or some variation)

Dear user of Intrex.net,

Our main mailing server will be temporary unavaible for next two days, to continue receiving mail in these days you have to configure our free auto-forwarding service.

For details see the attach.

For security reasons attached file is password protected. The password is "(random number here)".

This is not an e-mail from Intrex Internet Services. If you receive this message, please delete it. The attached .zip file contains a worm. Because the attachment is zipped up, it is able to slip through virus screenings. Read more about the Bagle worm.

The above message may vary for the return address and body of the message, but it will have a .zip file attached and request you to use a password to open it.

We encourage you to double-check with the sender before opening any e-mail attachments that you are not expecting. This safety measure can further help prevent unwanted scripts or programs from taking over your computer.
