Intrex Internet Services

Installing the Windows 3.x Four Disk Set

From Windows Program Manager, choose File, then run. In the command line box, enter A:\setup, (or B:\setup). This will begin the installation of Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.01.

When prompted, choose Custom, select all the options. Follow the installation prompts, accepting the defaults when asked.

After the Microsoft Internet Explorer group is completed, allow the software to reboot the system.

After rebooting into Windows, you will need to continue the installation.

Click on the Install button. It pauses for a few seconds, but don't click more than one time.

You will be asked for your username and password.
Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter username@intrex.net rather than just your username.

This completes the Microsoft Internet Explorer installation.

To connect to Intrex.Net, click on the Internet Explorer icon in the Microsoft Internet Explorer group.

To Check Your Mail

You will need to run the configuration for Internet Mail.

You can do this from the Mail icon (then Read Mail) in Internet Explorer, or from the Internet Mail icon in the Microsoft Internet Explorer group.

After the Welcome screen, you will be asked to enter your name and your Email address, username@intrex.net.

The next screen asks for the Incoming and Outgoing Mail Servers. The outgoing mail server is smtp.intrex.net, and the incoming mail server is pop.intrex.net.
Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter gmail.intrex.net for the outgoing mail server.

Next enter your Email Account (this is your username not your email address), and password.

You should now be able to check your mail when you are connected to the Internet.
