- To start the Internet Connection Wizard, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, then either point to Internet Tools (if you haven't set up an internet account before) or
Communications (if you have set up an internet account before), and click on Connection Wizard.
- The Internet Connection Wizard will first ask how you want to set up your computer to connect to the Internet. Select I want to set up my Internet connection manually.... Click Next.
- Select I connect through a phone line and a modem. Click Next.
- You will need to enter the dialup number for your area. Please choose
the dialup access number that is a local call from your location. Intrex.Net is not responsible for any long distance charges. Click on the Advanced button.
- Click on the Addresses tab. Under "DNS server address" select Always use the following and enter 209.42.192.253 for "Primary DNS Server" and 209.42.192.252 for "Alternate DNS Server". Click OK and click Next.
- Enter your username and password. Click Next.
Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter username@intrex.net rather than just your username.
- Now type in a name for your Intrex.Net connection. The default name
will be "Connection to xxx-xxxx". We recommend changing the default to Intrex.Net so it is easier to distinguish the dialer in later sections of the setup, or if you have more than one dial-up provider. Click Next.
- This screen will ask Do you want to set up an Internet mail account
now? Select Yes. Click Next.
- Select Create a new Internet mail account. Click Next.

- Fill in the information about the mail server: Enter pop.intrex.net for the "Incoming (POP3) server" and smtp.intrex.net for the "Outgoing (SMTP) server". Make sure POP3 is selected as the server type. Click Next.
Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, enter gmail.intrex.net for the outgoing mail server.

,!--
Note: If you are connecting through a Nationwide access number, check "Log on using SPA". -->
- You are done! Uncheck the box labeled To connect to the Internet
Immediately…, and click Finish to save your changes. We recommend
restarting your computer before trying to connect to Intrex.Net.
